Grades 7 and 8. The bridge year — heavier reading, real homework, and the start of the IB MYP track.
Ontario credits leading to the OSSD. Co-op placements available in Grade 11.
We started Alfajrulbassem Academy because Muslim families in Ontario shouldn't have to choose between strong academics and an Islamic upbringing.
So we teach the full Ontario curriculum, and we teach Arabic, Quran and Islamic Studies — properly, not as an add-on. Students leave us ready for university, and ready to live as Muslims.

Our FIRST Tech Challenge team. Innovate Award in 2024-25, Design Award at the Waterloo Qualifier in 2025-26.
Boys soccer and basketball, both finishing 3rd in their first intramural seasons.
Umrah trips to Makkah and Madinah, plus day trips and educational excursions in Ontario.
Sullam App: A student built and shipped a Quran memorization tracker on his own — three days from idea to published app.
Cancer360: Students worked with Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and finished its oncology course with certificates.
Co-op: Grade 11 students spend part of the year placed in dental clinics, pharmacies, IT shops and medical centres.
